A group of Punks gathering in a park. Children can be seen playing in the background. Punk culture encompasses distinct styles of music, ideologies, fashion, visual art, dance, literature, and film. Some punks style their hair to stand in spikes, cut it into Mohawks or other dramatic shapes, often coloring it with vibrant, unnatural hues, as can be seen in this image.

10 OCT
Museum of London

Why is the Punk movement still so relevant and fascinating?
Is it changing/mutating? Is it different or it has stayed true to its 1976 origins?
Hear it all from those that experienced punk first hand, Stephen Colegrave and Chris Sullivan authors of the book ‘PUNK’ and Trafford Parsons, studio and street artist.
Chaired by the museum’s curator Jen Kavanagh.
The talk will be followed by a visit to the display PUNKS.
