The Roundhouse have curated a special event, The Punk Weekender; a series of live shows, film screenings and panel discussions, inspired by the theme of ‘what has punk ever done for us?’
With a strong emphasis on supporting the next generation of punk bands, the weekends focus lies with ten emerging artists. Saturday 9th July will see False Heads, Birdsong, Molasses, The Antiseptics, Bully Bones, Mystified, The Vas Deferens, Drones, Screech Bats and a much-anticipated headline show from riotous noise-punk trio Youth Man as they go head to head on the Dr. Martens Stage in the venue’s Main Space. With a chaotic, shrieking, wrecking-ball of a live show, this performance at Roundhouse looks likely to cement their reputation as one of the most exciting new bands in the country.
In addition to the music, Roundhouse are hosting a punk record fair, ‘zine fair, food stalls and more in the Main Space so gig-goers can fully immerse themselves in the punk festival atmosphere.
